» How is the weather?
Tuscarora is at 6000 feet, situated in a high desert valley. As such, the weather can be a bit unpredictable--as the saying goes, "Only fools and newcomers predict the weather..." We have had snow on the fourth of July. More typical is the occassional thunder shower in the late afternoon.

July and August are our hottest months, but it rarely exceeds 90 degrees, and it is always a dry heat. Even at our hottest it is pleasant in the shade and usually cools down into the 50s at nights

We have a large swimming hole on the south edge of town to cool off in as
